Platform Prototype Development Intern

Responsibilities

• Design a showcase display prototype enclosure for an advanced intelligent storage platform
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate production designs into demo-ready prototypes
• Create and modify mechanical designs using SolidWorks
• Support prototype fabrication activities including drilling, routing, cutting, polishing, and assembly
• Perform mechanical calculations related to fit, articulation, tolerances, and load-bearing structures
• Participate in design reviews and prototype validation activities

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience using SolidWorks, CAD, or similar 3D modeling tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a lab, prototype, or fabrication environment
• Must have the right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
