Platform Ops Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 availability of Enterprise Cloud Services through cloud monitoring and incident response
• Respond to production alerts (L1, L2) and initiate incident response for cloud outages
• Analyze trends to prevent incidents and participate in cloud deployments, updates, and maintenance
• Manage security vulnerability remediation and environment maintenance
• Ensure technical operating resources meet SLO and SLA expectations through infrastructure redundancy
• Perform lifecycle management, including technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades
• Establish metrics to monitor the health and usage of cloud platform resources
• Report on cloud cost and usage and establish tagging mechanisms for departmental allocation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technology field
• 5+ years of experience working with Azure
• Proficiency with two or more toolsets such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, XL Release, Artifactory, GitHub, or PowerShell
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including routing, subnetting, and load balancing
• Experience using automation to manage public cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and ITIL methodologies
• Proficiency in creating reports using Excel (PivotTables) and PowerBI

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Administrator Associate certification
• Public Cloud certifications
