Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize system performance and implement corrective actions
• Manage integrations leveraging TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and maintain security incident response plans
• Create automation scripts for deployments and provisioning
• Deploy and manage machines using VMware, vCenter, Puppet, and Foreman
• Apply DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers
• Utilize monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
• Perform patch management using Red Hat Satellite Server
• Provide hands-on support for servers and workstations

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
• Minimum 12 years in a related technical field
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift
• Expertise in VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, SolarWinds)
• Proficiency in Red Hat Satellite Server
• Ability to work onsite in Colorado Springs and meet 24x7x365 on-call requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with federal government contracts (Homeland Security preferred)
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Strong problem-solving skills for mission-critical operations
