About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform server builds from scratch using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible
- Execute server OS rebuilds, upgrades, ESXi upgrades, and firmware updates
- Use scripts and automation to support deployment and maintenance of applications
- Provide tertiary expertise in troubleshooting and resolving server-related issues
- Collaborate with vendors, market participants, and financial exchanges
- Create technical documentation including diagrams, flowcharts, and reports
- Partner with Platform Operations and Engineering to improve efficiency
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience in building and supporting servers in the financial industry
- Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite
- Experience with bare metal servers and virtualization (KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix, VMWare ESXi)
- Experience with HPE and Dell hardware
- Scripting skills in Bash, Ansible, and Python
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Strong networking knowledge (IP routing, TCP/IP, multicast, DNS, NTP, PTP)
- Strong client-interaction and customer service skills
