Platform Engineering Lead (AI Infra)

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and manager for compute, data, AI, and security infrastructure
• Own core services orchestrating lab devices and data ingestion pipelines
• Build cloud infrastructure and data pipelines for terabytes of sequencing data
• Design infrastructure to orchestrate millions of bioinformatics tasks using queues and workflow orchestration
• Build AI infrastructure and internal tooling to enable agentic systems for quality monitoring, logistics, and bioinformatics coding

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or a technical subject
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Prior experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
• Experience building LLM/agent systems including tooling, evaluation, and workflow design
• Strong experience with Python backend services (Flask, Django, or FastAPI)
• Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS, Batch, StepFunctions)
• Strong experience with SQL and data modeling in Postgres
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK
• Experience building distributed systems with task queues like Celery or SQS
• Experience working with Linux servers and systemd services
• Comfort operating production systems, including incident response and debugging
