Platform Engineer, Test

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve web and mobile testing platforms, including framework selection and architecture
• Design and maintain automation frameworks and harnesses for unit, integration, and UI testing
• Establish reusable testing patterns and standards across engineering pods
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that execute tests reliably and surface failures clearly
• Build quality guardrails such as coverage requirements and automated checks
• Partner with software engineers to design testable systems and improve developer experience
• Mentor engineers on testing patterns and quality engineering fundamentals

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web and/or mobile testing platforms
• 5+ years of experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD solutions
• Deep knowledge of testing frameworks like Appium, XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Experience working closely with software engineers to design testable features

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling testing infrastructure during rapid company growth
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
• Experience with containerized testing environments and CI/CD optimization
• Experience with mobile device farms or test parallelization
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools
• Experience working within a Rails-based application ecosystem
