Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage system automation using Ansible and Puppet across RHEL and Windows platforms
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters with RKE2 and Rancher
• Manage open-source applications including NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper, MinIO, Keycloak, Longhorn, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Promtail, and GitLab
• Ensure high system performance and security across all platforms
• Collaborate with teams to provide technical solutions aligned with strategic goals
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations and deployments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of experience managing enterprise Linux and Windows systems
• Proficiency in configuration management with Ansible and Puppet
• Experience with Kubernetes operations (RKE2 and Rancher preferred)
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, distributed environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• Experience supporting NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper, MinIO, Keycloak, or Longhorn in production
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Promtail
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of containerization and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with system performance tuning and reliability engineering
