Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Crossplane, Helm, or CloudFormation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements, architecture, and priorities
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for high availability and cost efficiency
• Implement zero-downtime deployment and maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters
• Automate manual processes to eliminate operational toil using modern tooling and AI-powered solutions
• Integrate security controls and DevSecOps best practices into infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Participate in a 12-hour on-call rotation to support production systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–10 years of experience in Cloud, Platform, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Strong experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, Helm, or CloudFormation
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, and DevSecOps principles
• Experience supporting cloud-native or SaaS platforms at scale
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows
