Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
• Develop and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on AWS, including Kubernetes (EKS)
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Build, optimize, and standardize CI/CD pipelines
• Improve system reliability using monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
• Collaborate with Security teams to integrate DevSecOps practices
• Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis
• Enhance developer experience (DX) by simplifying workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of total experience, including 1 year in Platform Engineering and 4+ years in DevOps or SRE roles
• Proven experience in cloud-native and microservices-based environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM)
• Solid expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strong understanding of Docker and containerization
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL
• Scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go
