Platform Engineer - Cyber Security

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity controls for Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL), cloud infrastructure, and vulnerability management programs
• Develop and maintain security automation tools, scripts, and integrations using Python, SQL, and cloud-native services
• Conduct secure code reviews in GitHub repositories and assess third-party applications for security vulnerabilities
• Provide technical remediation guidance and security architecture consultation to development teams
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security using Terraform and AWS security services
• Build and operate security monitoring solutions with KPIs to measure program effectiveness
• Mentor team members on security best practices and emerging threats

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a closely related discipline
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for software development and automation
• Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience working in DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Concourse)
• Solid understanding of Linux/Windows system administration and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
• Expertise in threat modeling and performing security-focused code reviews
