Platform Engineer - Build & CI

About the Company

Humanoid is on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Their flagship platform, HMND-01 Alpha, is already running in real industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI pipelines in GitHub Actions including incremental test selection and nightly builds
• Instrument the build with CI telemetry and dashboards to monitor build and test health
• Define and enforce policies for merge queues, PR gating, and on-call processes
• Own and maintain remote build cache infrastructure and ensure cache correctness
• Manage the developer environment story, including local builds and dependency management
• Maintain dependency mirroring infrastructure for registries like apt and PyPI

Requirements

• Solid experience with build systems such as Bazel or CMake
• Experience designing and operating large-scale CI pipelines
• Strong understanding of hermetic build environments
• Ability to debug complex build failures across multiple languages and toolchains
• Experience with dependency management and reproducibility
• Strong focus on developer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 build tooling (colcon, ament, CMake)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and self-hosted runners
• Experience with GitHub Actions at scale
• Background in robotics or embedded systems
