Platform Engineer

Since 1959, Bankgirot has provided the technical structure that connects Sweden's banks, ensuring that payments function securely and stably. We are currently undergoing a major technological shift and are establishing a new, growing platform engineering capability to shape the future of Swedish payment flows.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and further develop the container platform both on-prem and in the cloud
• Automate platform and operational processes and develop CI/CD and GitOps workflows
• Work with tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, and Ansible
• Collaborate with users regarding onboarding, support, and continuous platform improvement
• Partner with security and operations organizations to ensure availability, performance, and security
• Proactively work with robustness, observability, security, and incident management

Requirements

• Solid foundation in Linux with expertise in cloud-native technologies
• Experience with container technology and CI/CD tooling in production environments (on-prem or cloud)
• Strong desire to replace manual flows with automation
• Ability to work in a dynamic, building environment with a pragmatic approach
• Proficiency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, automation, observability, or security
• Experience with service mesh, GitLab, ArgoCD, and JFrog Artifactory & Xray
