Platform Developer - Network Architecture & Site Reliability

Responsibilities

• Design and implement hierarchical CIDR allocation strategies and complex network architectures across multiple AWS accounts and environments.
• Build multi-region capabilities, including regional redundancy and failover strategies to support disaster recovery.
• Manage core AWS networking components such as VPC design, subnets, routing tables, security groups, Transit Gateway, and Route 53.
• Establish and test disaster recovery procedures, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
• Define and implement platform health indicators, including SLIs and SLOs, to monitor infrastructure reliability.
• Automate infrastructure management using Terraform to ensure consistency and enable self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and FedRAMP requirements.
• Lead incident response for infrastructure issues, conduct postmortems, and drive continuous reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
• Extensive production experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.).
• Proven track record in network architecture design, including CIDR planning and multi-account strategies.
• Deep expertise in disaster recovery, multi-region failover, and backup strategies.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages for automation and tooling.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and incident management.
• A security-first mindset with knowledge of encryption, IAM, and regulated industry compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud).
• Experience with container networking (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes) and service meshes.
• Experience with Rust development for infrastructure tooling.
• Advanced AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or Advanced Networking).
• Knowledge of database networking, including Aurora Global Databases and cross-region synchronization.
• Experience in the healthcare technology or Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) industry.
