Platform Architect

About the Company

Rapsodo is a sports technology company that designs computer vision and machine learning products to help athletes maximize their performance. Our Turkey office operates as the R&D arm of Rapsodo, incorporating UI/UX, Mobile, Cloud Technologies, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Data Science, and Unity teams.

Responsibilities

• Define a long-term platform architecture and modernization roadmap
• Identify duplicated domains across backends and convert them into shared services
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate system design and code generation
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, ownership models, and migration patterns
• Establish architecture standards and guide migrations using patterns like strangler fig
• Mentor engineers and review major technical designs
• Work closely with DevOps to improve CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring
• Contribute directly to codebases through writing, refactoring, and optimizing code

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or similar role
• Experience architecting and modernizing complex backend systems
• Proven experience decomposing monoliths into modular platforms
• Deep knowledge of microservices, modular monoliths, and domain-driven design
• Strong backend development experience with Go (Golang) and/or Node.js
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C#, Java, or Kotlin)
• Experience with Frontend frameworks like React or Vue
• Strong database design experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS)
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, Docker, queues, and distributed systems
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka
• Experience in sports technology, IoT, or data-heavy systems
• Strong understanding of OAuth/OIDC, JWT, and SSO
• Experience with migration strategies for production systems with active users
• Experience with payment systems, device platforms, or subscription systems
