Plater

Responsibilities

• Prepare rolls for chrome plating and inspect them for defects before and after the process
• Set plating controls and monitor plating tank temperature and solution levels
• Perform testing for surface texture and chrome thickness on rolls
• Assist the Plating Supervisor with training new Plating Helpers according to work instructions
• Complete all required paperwork and perform regular crane inspections
• Maintain housekeeping of the work area and ensure hazardous waste is contained in proper containers
• Work overtime when required to meet production needs

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good vision for inspection tasks
• Ability to understand and follow instructions quickly and accurately
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Crane Safety training
• Hazardous Communication training
• ISO Quality System training
