Plastic Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic solutions for operator environments, including dashboards, panels, trims, consoles, and storage solutions.
• Manage the full product lifecycle by balancing design intent, technical performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Perform CAD modeling, packaging studies, and technical drawings, including converting A-surfaces into B-surfaces.
• Collaborate with supplier interfaces and work closely with the cab team and international colleagues.
• Support verification activities, tolerance investigations, and continuous improvement of existing solutions based on feedback.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in plastic part design, preferably within automotive, off-highway, or mobile applications.
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection, and design for assembly/cost principles.
• Experience in surface modelling and designing interior or exterior parts.
