Plasterer

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls, ceilings, and surfaces for plastering
• Mix and apply plaster, render, and other finishing materials
• Apply tape, joint, and sand to plasterboard
• Apply external render using cement and sand render
• Apply stucco or similar external render systems to insulation systems
• Repair damaged plasterwork and carry out maintenance work
• Install decorative mouldings and finishes where required
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Comply with site health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with other trades and site personnel

Requirements

• Experience in plastering, rendering, skimming, and patch repairs
• Ability to prepare surfaces before plaster application
• Knowledge of plastering materials, tools, and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Strong time-management and teamwork skills
