Plaster and Compound Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop industrial plaster and compound products for Thailand and APAC markets
• Implement new products and technologies for jointing and surface products
• Evaluate new or alternative raw materials and conduct cost reduction initiatives
• Optimize formulations and develop test procedures and QA programs
• Coordinate with manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, and global teams
• Support sales teams during customer visits to understand application requirements
• Maintain safety standards through SOP preparation, audits, and active participation in safety huddles
• Ensure all IP protection protocols are followed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Civil, or Chemistry engineering/science
• Minimum 3 years of R&D, Process, or Quality experience in the gypsum building materials industry
• Knowledge of product requirements, industry standards, and competitive landscapes
• Proficiency in MS Office; data analysis software skills are an advantage
• Good command of English
• Ability to work both unsupervised and within a multi-stakeholder team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior R&D experience in a commercial or university setting
• Knowledge of raw materials and suppliers
• Exposure to various parts of gypsum and compound product processes
