Plasma Center Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion processes
• Evaluate and manage donor adverse reactions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician
• Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and manage employee incidents
• Assist with vaccination programs and potentially serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduation from a recognized nursing program
• Current license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Valid state certification for basic IV therapy
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
