About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture on donors and program plasmapheresis machines
  • Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any donor reactions
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training
  • Perform finger sticks and record donor measures including hematocrit, total protein, and weight
  • Take and record donor vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
  • Greet donors and coordinate their movement through the donor floor
  • Maintain center cleanliness by stocking supplies and assisting with proper waste disposal

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for the entire work shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role
