Plasma Center Paramedic – EMT-P

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing reviews.
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to established SOPs.
• Follow medical emergency protocols, including the development of standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency facilities.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician.
• Support employee health programs, including Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccinations.
• Manage employee incidents and provide support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the state of assignment.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Ability to fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Ability to successfully complete FDA-approved training requirements.
