Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing reviews
• Manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies according to established SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician
• Support center operations by managing informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion processes
• Assist with employee health programs, including Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccinations
• Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and manage employee incidents

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program
• Current license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy certification as required by state licensure
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience
