Plasma Center Nurse – RN

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies according to established SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
• Support center operations by following guidance from Medical Affairs and the Center Physician
• Manage employee incidents and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives
• Assist with vaccination programs and potentially serve as a Pandemic Coordinator

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program
• Current license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• State-required certification for basic IV therapy
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
