About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and drive functional quality objectives by identifying, escalating, and resolving chronic and new warranty concerns for underbody systems.
- Lead Issue Resolution and Insights System (IRIS) warranty binning and analysis.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions using structured problem-solving (8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone).
- Serve as the Product Development representative for urgent plant containment activities, including Stop Ships or Stop Builds.
- Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to address End of Line (EOL) and First Time Through (FTT) functional inhibitors.
- Support Change Control activities by coordinating in-plant trials for design or supplier changes.
- Support launch teams during major vehicle and component launches to drive resolution of post-OKTB issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Development, Quality, Program, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven background working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Immediate and confirmed eligibility to travel to the United States if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support quick decision-making.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
