About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee purchased material quality and plant Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) process control to drive cost of quality reduction.
- Establish and sustain product quality by driving discipline around ESD training, certification, QMS, audits, and risk management.
- Act as the owner for Supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) and Corrective Action Requests (SCAR/CAR).
- Lead 1x1 problem solving for ESD and Supplier Quality issues in collaboration with factory teams and Central Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Drive immediate triage and corrective action for unexpected supplier quality issues impacting safety, delivery, or cost.
- Provide guidance to the New Product Introduction (NPI) team regarding manufacturing process capabilities for new designs.
- Collect and analyze data as part of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and implement escalation plans as required.
- Execute projects to reduce Cost of Quality (COQ) by optimizing purchased part characteristics to reduce manufacturing waste.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
- 5+ years of experience with manufacturing quality, quality improvement projects, or process improvement.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Minitab, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) application or theory development.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical, cross-functional program deliverables.
- Strong organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
- Experience interpreting data to solve problems in high-volume, short-cycle manufacturing.
- Experience working with external suppliers and multi-stage material processing.
- Ability to work effectively within large cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
