About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage production employees through scheduling, monitoring, and hands-on assistance
  • Lead by example to ensure all tasks are conducted in a safe manner
  • Monitor equipment and facility operations by reviewing logs, reports, and inspections
  • Manage and track daily production quality to meet established parameters
  • Assist with production and maintenance tasks, including loading, unloading, and equipment work
  • Take a lead role in locomotive and rail safety training
  • Assist with inventory controls, including measuring and sampling
  • Review and write operational reports and attend company meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Agricultural, Industrial, or Biosystems preferred)
  • Ability to work rotating night and day shifts
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely project completion
  • Willingness to relocate within the Midwest upon successful completion of the program
