About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train biodiesel production employees through scheduling, monitoring, and hands-on assistance
- Monitor equipment and facility operations by reviewing logs, reports, and inspections
- Lead by example to ensure all tasks are conducted in a safe manner, including locomotive and rail safety training
- Oversee daily production to meet quality parameters and assist with inventory control, measuring, and sampling
- Assist with production and maintenance tasks, including loading, unloading, and generating work orders
- Enforce company policies and procedures while attending company meetings and writing necessary reports
Requirements
- Ability to work rotating night and day shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical thinking skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities and organizational skills to manage employee work schedules
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Agricultural, Industrial Technology, or Biosystems) is preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is considered a plus
