Plant Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Train operators, supervisors, and quality personnel on quality procedures, policies, and documentation.
• Monitor SPC and process capability, analyzing performance data for management review.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation including FMEAs, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using the 8D methodology to address non-conformances.
• Support APQP activities by collaborating with engineering on supplier requirements and process readiness.
• Perform internal quality audits such as Control Plan Audits, LPAs, and CQI-9 to ensure compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to troubleshoot defects and manage containment actions.
• Design or modify inspection equipment, gauges, and measurement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years of quality engineering experience.
• Technical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and manufacturing concepts.
• Strong understanding of ISO9001/IATF16949 requirements and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in 8D/Corrective Action processes and print reading.
• Demonstrated analytical and computer skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ CQE certification.
