Plant Operator I

Responsibilities

• Ensure production of quality ready-mix concrete in accordance with required mix specifications
• Perform opening, start-up, and shutdown procedures for the plant
• Interact regularly with dispatchers, haulers, drivers, customers, and quality control personnel
• Conduct daily inspections of the entire plant facility
• Manage site maintenance needs, including cleaning and lubricating equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules
• Utilize computer batching systems to control the production process

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of related experience and/or training
• Valid Driver's License
• AC1 certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire)
• Computer literacy and proficiency with batching software
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical equations
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Thorough understanding of the ready-mix concrete business
