Plant Operator - Earthmoving Equipment - Leading Hand

Responsibilities

• Operate earthmoving machinery including dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxys
• Perform tip face operations such as waste placement and compaction
• Support and coordinate afternoon shift activities at the Deer Park Landfill
• Provide on-the-job leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of operators
• Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain site productivity and safety

Requirements

• Valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency (VOC, RII, etc.)
• Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxy trucks
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance in landfill or earthworks settings
• Natural leadership qualities and a desire to step up into a Leading Hand role
• Ability to work a Monday to Friday afternoon shift (1pm start)
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends
