Plant Operator

Responsibilities

• Participate in the production of acetylene and the filling of acetylene and propylene cylinders.
• Assist in loading and unloading trailers and handling gas cylinders.
• Prepare empty cylinders for inspection or filling, including visual checks and weighing.
• Operate filling ramps, monitoring pressures, temperatures, and ensuring no leaks are present.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and plant cleanliness to ensure operational efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality control procedures.
• Perform periodic plant maintenance such as cleaning generators and high-pressure dryers.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Secondaire V).
• Experience in industrial operations or a technical background preferred.
• Proficiency in forklift operation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform routine tasks at an adequate production pace.
• Strong commitment to safety and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (day and night).
