Plant Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate Astec Double Barrel Asphalt Plant to produce hot mix asphalt
• Perform truck loading, ticketing, and front-end loader operations to feed the plant
• Unload Asphalt Cement Oil from bulkers to storage tanks following strict safety procedures
• Conduct routine plant maintenance and monitor equipment via 2-way radio communication
• Comply with all company safety policies and participate in safety program initiatives
• Work in varying weather conditions and adhere to project schedules, including overtime, weekends, or night shifts

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in asphalt plant production (Astec Double Drum experience preferred)
• Proven mechanical aptitude for plant maintenance, welding, fabrication, and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Valid Class 5 driver license
• Physical capability to repetitively lift and carry at least 40 lbs on a regular basis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with crews and supervisors
• Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary precautions to maintain a safe work environment
