Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall direction of the Pasadena plant to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage manufacturing practices to ensure high safety standards, process capability, and cost-effective production.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and maintain a quality management system meeting ISO 9001 2015 standards.
• Set and enforce HSSE standards for behavior and results, holding personnel accountable for safety and environmental compliance.
• Analyze manufacturing results regarding product yields, productivity, service levels, and costs.
• Oversee employee development activities to maintain a highly trained and effective workforce.
• Review and recommend capital spending plans to improve operating costs and capabilities.
• Act as the Site Communications Coordinator during emergency situations and manage external HSSE communications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent Engineering or Chemistry discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of HSSE standards, specifically regarding personnel/process safety and air, waste, and water compliance.
• Working knowledge of cost accounting as it relates to manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership skills for directing, motivating, and developing subordinates.
• Strong negotiation skills for interacting with regulatory agencies, customers, and local bargaining units.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
