Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for production teams to ensure customer demand is consistently met
• Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling
• Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations
• Ensure employees are trained and committed to safety and quality systems in coordination with the Compliance Manager
• Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency and develop contingencies
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, and training
• Manage equipment and product quality issues while maintaining adequate inventory of production supplies
• Support 5S, Lean Projects, and hazardous waste activities to reduce plant operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment
• 5+ years of experience in driver, operations, distribution, or quality roles
• At least 3 years of experience leading and developing employees
• Willingness to work in a unionized environment
