Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a single power plant facility with an operational focus.
• Direct and coordinate total power plant operations, monitoring performance and correcting abnormalities.
• Oversee human resources responsibilities, including supervisory leadership, hiring, termination, and managing training programs for operations and maintenance personnel and subcontractors.
• Manage plant business, budgets, and cost accountabilities with home office interface.
• Propose and implement equipment modifications, plant improvements, and site policies.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations and maintain accountability for regulatory compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations.
• Act as a visible community representative, managing public relations and interactions with local customers, steam hosts, and utilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical generation power plants.
• Detailed understanding of power plant startup, operations, and maintenance of power plant equipment.
