Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a single power plant facility with an operational focus.
• Direct and coordinate total power plant operations, monitoring performance and correcting abnormalities.
• Oversee human resources functions, including hiring, terminating, and managing supervisory leadership, operations, maintenance personnel, and sub-contractors.
• Manage plant business, budgets, and cost accountabilities in coordination with the home office.
• Implement and update plant procedures, site policies, training programs, and safety protocols.
• Foster a strong safety culture, promoting hazard awareness and adherence to standards for all personnel and contractors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations.
• Act as a visible community representative, managing public relations and interactions with local customers, steam hosts, and utilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical generation power plants.
• Detailed understanding of power plant equipment startup, operations, and maintenance.
