Plant Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain ready-mix plant equipment, recyclers, and building operations to ensure safety and minimal production downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities and troubleshoot unexpected breakdowns to identify root causes.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe condition and reinforce the company safety culture.
• Communicate proactively with the Ready-Mix Management Team regarding plant uptime and potential issues.
• Educate operations staff and drivers on appropriate equipment operation methods.
• Coordinate with the Accounting department to ensure maintenance expenses are correctly categorized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of air handling devices including cylinders, solenoids, compressors, and regulators.
• Experience with electric over air systems.
• Proficiency with PVC and rigid piping for air and water handling.
• Understanding of 480-volt systems and lower.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, prints, and plant layout features (plumbing, electrical, conveyors, etc.).
• Experience with computer batch panels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in air handling and electrical systems.
• Expertise in specialized maintenance tools.
• Experience using a transit and installing forms.
