Plant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex electrical (high and low voltage) and mechanical problems on manufacturing and facility systems
• Maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, generators, switches, and control panels
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities using a CMMS
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on PLC systems and control panels
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain and enforce the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program
• Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams on system upgrades and new installations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high and low voltage electrical systems in manufacturing
• In-depth understanding of relevant electrical codes
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment like voltmeters and amp meters
• Strong commitment to safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical experience
• Experience with CMMS software, preferably UpKeep
• Experience with CNC machinery, air compressors, and rotating machinery
• Skills in carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing
