Plant Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities

• Utilize information system tools to schedule, communicate, and coordinate part requirements from suppliers and subcontract suppliers
• Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and constraints, keeping management informed
• Maintain and revise MRP planning based on changes in demand, inventory adjustments, and Bills of Material corrections
• Ensure parts arrive at the correct location and time while minimizing total costs, including transportation and inventory levels
• Analyze and correct discrepancies or inventory problems to maintain parts flow and improve accuracy
• Interface directly with receiving, logistics departments, and suppliers regarding invoicing discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field
• Minimum of 3+ years of logistics or planning experience within a manufacturing environment
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or above

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS certification
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal customers to meet targets
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
