Plant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to drive operational strategies and exceed customer expectations
• Provide direct oversight to the assigned plant, ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory standards
• Coach and develop managers and supervisors through continuous feedback and performance appraisals
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, and training of an effective and diverse workforce
• Implement and communicate safety protocols and compliance measures
• Manage plant budgets, facilities, and capital expense requests
• Resolve customer issues with urgency to maintain high service levels
• Oversee waste processing, inbound receiving, and shipping processes

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of progressive environmental or hazardous waste management experience
• Minimum 7 years of proven leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field or equivalent work experience
• Current 40-hour OSHA training
• Knowledge of DOT regulatory compliance and certifications
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in plant management software and computer applications
• Ability to manage budgets and complex data

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean management or Six Sigma
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in change management practices
• Formal project management experience
