Plant Fitter (Mobile)

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance, service, and repair activities on a fleet of TOHL Plant & Equipment, including hydraulics and electrical systems
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to rectify mechanical and electrical faults on large diesel-driven plant
• Communicate effectively with the Plant Depot Team and Project Site Teams
• Raise purchase requisitions and liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for technical issues
• Accurately log, record, and complete all job documentation and maintenance records
• Adhere to all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role within a Plant or Mechanical Workshop environment
• Relevant qualification within a Plant or Mechanical discipline
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Forklift Truck and/or Telehandler Operators’ certificate
• Welding qualification
• Mechanical or Electrical qualification
• Safety qualification (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
