Plant Fitter

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new plant machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of plant equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
• Conduct inspections and assessments of plant machinery to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Collaborate with team members to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency
• Adhere to health and safety regulations during all tasks
• Assist in training junior technicians on equipment operations and safety practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical engineering preferred
• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter in construction or industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of plant machinery, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites
