Plant Engineer & Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for the maintenance team, including supervisors, technicians, and contractors
• Own and improve site Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and reliability systems
• Manage plant infrastructure including utilities, refrigeration, compressed air, steam, and wastewater
• Develop and control the annual R&M budget, including labor, parts, and services
• Lead site-level capital projects from concept through commissioning
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and OSHA standards
• Integrate new equipment into maintenance standards and spare-parts strategies

Requirements

• Degree or relevant experience in Engineering or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing with progressive responsibility
• 8+ years of experience leading maintenance teams and owning PM systems
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office
• Proven accountability for R&M budgets and cost control
• Strong mechanical and systems-level understanding of food manufacturing equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in USDA-regulated or ready-to-eat food manufacturing
• Exposure to TPM and reliability-centered maintenance
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration and steam systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Projects
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
