Plant Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the local site team to maintain a continuous, reliable supply of quality-assured gases
• Coordinate daily routine maintenance and breakdown repairs with technical staff to meet production targets
• Design and implement plant efficiency programs and develop operational standards and KPIs
• Champion a "zero harm" safety culture by ensuring all safety procedures are rigorously applied
• Manage documentation control, lead site audits, and serve as the primary on-site focal point for customers and regulatory bodies
• Deliver precise data regarding site reliability, availability, and process efficiency for corporate reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven professional experience within the industrial gas industry or similar heavy chemical/process manufacturing environments
• Deep understanding of work health and safety (WHS) standards and dangerous goods/substances handling
• Exceptional ability to interpret technical instructions, complex safety rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with experience managing on-site teams and contractors
