Standard Bots is building the next generation of industrial robots -- hardware that's powerful, affordable, and designed to scale. We closed a Series C and we're scaling fast, and building the financial infrastructure to match that growth is critical.

Responsibilities

• Own the plant's full financial reporting including monthly close, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Serve as the primary finance point of contact for the plant during external audits
• Maintain internal controls at the plant level and flag risks to corporate Finance
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the facility, partnering with the Plant Manager on labor, materials, overhead, and capital planning
• Evaluate capital expenditure requests and provide financial analysis for operational decision-making
• Oversee cost accounting including standard costs, BOM cost accuracy, and labor allocation
• Analyze manufacturing cost variances and partner with Operations to identify root causes
• Own inventory valuation, cycle counts, and obsolescence reserve analysis
• Partner with Procurement on vendor cost analysis and supply chain cost trends
• Provide financial training and guidance to plant operations staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• At least 2 years in a manufacturing or plant finance role
• Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory valuation
• Experience partnering with plant and operations leadership in a matrixed structure
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills for building financial models and forecasts
• Strong presentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA credential
• Experience with international supply chains, tariffs, and customs/duty considerations
• Background in a high-growth, venture-backed manufacturing or hardware company
• Familiarity with standard costing in a multi-SKU, complex BOM environment
