Plant Controller

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership at the Gastonia manufacturing plant and act as a key resource for the VP of Operations.
• Establish and maintain plant-level accounting processes, procedures, and internal control compliance.
• Analyze manufacturing cost trends, perform monthly cost analysis, and manage the month-end closing process.
• Prepare MIS (P&L) reports, S&O reports, and various business-related reports using Hyperion.
• Perform standard cost analysis against actuals, review absorption rates, and manage transfer pricing.
• Oversee inventory management, including auditing physical inventory, ensuring SAP accuracy, and managing slow-moving inventory.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in plant and cost accounting.
• 4-year degree in a related field (experience in manufacturing or automotive industries preferred).
• Proficiency in SAP S4/Hana and Hyperion.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
