About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, automation systems, drives, motors, and sensors
- Design and implement equipment and control system improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency
- Perform wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of low- and high-voltage systems (24VDC to 480VAC)
- Develop, test, and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial communication systems
- Lead or support engineering and maintenance projects, including equipment installations and upgrades
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including electrical schematics and control system updates
- Provide hands-on support during equipment breakdowns and participate in the On-Call rotation for 24/7 operations
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with industrial PLC platforms (e.g., Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, automation, and mechatronic systems
- Working knowledge of AC/DC drives, motors, motion control, and industrial networks
- Ability to read and update electrical, control, and basic mechanical drawings
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Willingness to participate in an On-Call rotation to support 24/7 manufacturing operations
- Ability to work onsite in Fresno, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial automation experience
- Electrical, controls, automation, or industrial maintenance certifications
- Apprentice-level or higher electrician certification
- Formal training in PLCs, automation, or mechatronics
