Plant Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed weekly plant cost estimates, operational efficiency reporting, and sales reporting.
• Manage all general ledger duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance research.
• Prepare weekly financial presentations for upper management regarding prior week results.
• Analyze variances between actual expenditures and expected outcomes or operating standards.
• Supervise plant accounting, clerical, and salaried staff.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure correct valuation and identify LCM opportunities.
• Maintain SOX controls and ensure all documentation requirements are accurate and complete.
• Support budget preparation, capital project tracking, and operational analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related major.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Technical proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply probability and statistical inference.
• Ability to analyze complex data and draw valid conclusions.
