About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting in all areas of Plant Finance
- Support the development and accuracy of standard cost within the SAP ERP system
- Develop and manage key reports and monthly plant KPI metrics to support operations
- Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, including material and labor variances
- Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, including scrap, rework, and obsolescence
- Perform periodic reviews of inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical counts
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Analyze monthly plant expenditures and advise management on potential cost savings
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a Cost Accounting role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle ambiguity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or cultivation environment
- Solid knowledge of the SAP ERP system
