About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise the collection and collation of all planning documents, including Incident Action Plans and Situation Reports
- Establish information reporting requirements and deadlines
- Coordinate technical planning staff support for weather and mapping data
- Facilitate SEOC Briefings, County Coordination Calls, and other necessary meetings
- Develop and disseminate Situation Reports, Flash Reports, and other required reports
- Establish and maintain an event chronology and maintain battle rhythm on WebEOC
- Develop division and agency emergency plans and standard operating procedures
- Communicate observations and recommendations for improvement to program areas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or applicable field
- 2+ years experience in emergency management planning and project management
- Experience working within the Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels
- Experience in an Emergency Operations Center or disaster response with at least 2 activations/exercises in a supervisory capacity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
- Completion of required training: IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance/Accounting, Emergency Management, or a related field
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification
- Proficiency with Salesforce and WebEOC
- ICS position-specific certification
- Five or more years of professional experience in emergency management
